Listening room isolation works

As a second step, the thermal isolation works are getting started. A 18cm thick isolation layer is added on the underside of the roof. This isolation has 2 functions. Its first function is to stabilize the temperature in the listening room so that my precious records will be stored at 20C. A second function of these glasfiber mats is to isolate the airborne noise from outside the listening room.

The white foil is protection against vapor insertion. In order to have good acoustic properties a layer of gypsum plates will be added. In this way a reflective but inert roof will be created.
